General information (windows):
By servicing New York City for over 10 years we have the skills and the experience in cleaning just about any type of windows you may have.
We clean the inner and outer part of all windows by gaining access from inside. We do commercial and residential work
and we are fully insured. Usually we are hired by individual tenants of buildings but we are hired on a contrct basis to wash entire buildings as well. We also can clean many difficult to access areas that we can reach with ladders and by other means. The photo on the right shows our extension ladder that allows us to reach as high as the third floor from the sidewalk. We use our ladders to clean high places and street signs and awnings.
We have all the necessary equipment to handle difficult jobs. That includes special belts for windows with hooks. We have extension ladders that can reach as high as the third floor from the sidewalk. We have much experience in doing jobs that other companies refused to do. In addition, customers have often called us to fix mistakes of other companies. And in case you don't believe us, we have many references.
The frequency of window cleaning varies. However, from our experience we can tell you that in the city most people call us every three months. We also have customers who order our service every month, but an absolute minimum should be every three months.
Window types:
There are many different types of windows. Each type opens differently and experience is needed to do a good job in cleaning. When ordering our service you must describe the the number and type(s) of windows you have. This is important in estimating the time and cost of the job.
Sliding Windows

This type of a window is very common. Both, the top and bottom slide up and down past each other. In older windows the frames are usually wooden and in newer generatin of windows they are metal or vinyl. Picture on the right shows one window. |

Sliding with hooks
These windows slide up and down. They are usually wooden and have hooks outside. We have a special belt that we use to clean the outside
of these windows. These windows do not open to the inside of the appartment or office. From inside these windows often look like the sliding windows in the picture above.
Tilt-in Windows (Sliding)

These windows slide up and down. Usually they have metal or plastic frames. Both the top and bottom has two clips, one on each side. When these clips are moved to the inside the window can be tilted in for washing. Picture on the right shows one window. |

Storm windows
Storm windows are double windows. Usually the outside window is a thin framed glass that slides up and down. It has to be removed into the
apartment in order to be washed. Because these windows are double and require twice as much time to clean the price is doubled as well. On a picture these windows would look like sliding windows above and would be counted as two windows.
Big panel or picture windows

There are several types of big panel or picture windows. These windows are usually from the newer generation. They have metal or plastic frames. The two most common types are horizontal sliding windows and door-type windows. The sliding windows slide past each other in a horizontal track. The door-type windows open to the inside of the appartment just like doors. Sometimes there are three windows in a row and the one in the middle is fixed while the two side ones open like doors. City Quiet or City Proof

These windows are designed to block the noise from the street. They are usually installed from the inside of the apartment. This means that there is a second set of windows in front of the original windows. The price is doubled for these windows. They have to be removed into the apartment to be cleaned. The outer window can then be accessed for cleaning as well. The picture on the right shows the inner window layer in front of another window layer. Picture on the right shows six windows. |

Small pane windows

Small pane windows are french style or similar. They are made of small panes and take much longer to clean. Therefore, every eight panes counts as one window. For example, if your window is made of 20 panes (5 down and 4 across) we count it as 2 and a half windows. Picture on the right would be roughly counted as 5.5 windows. |

Price information (windows):
Window prices start at $9.00 per window. Larger windows, french-style windows, and double windows are charged more or double per window. Additional
charges may also apply if there is difficulty with access, removal of screws, blockades, gates, and child guards. If windows require wet scraping after painting or glue removal, the cost is also higher. Please specify exactly the type of windows and all pertinent information when ordering service. Be sure to count your windows correctly. In this photo example there are three windows, two side ones and one picture window. Some people count this as one window but that's incorrect.
General information (screens):
In addition to windows, we often clean the window screens for our customers. The way this service is provided is that we take the screens with us. We wash them outside with a pressure hose and brushes. It usually takes between one and three business days to return the screens. When they are clean we schedule an appointment to bring them back and reinstall them.
Price information (screens):
Screen cleaning prices start from $6.00 per screen. The price includes removal and reinstallation.
